Looks like selecting the smaller of my stainless fermenters was a bad idea, because evidently Yeti needs more than 3 inches head-space.

I went this way because realistically there are only about 11 litres in there, and the graduations on my bigger fermenter only start at 15 litres.

wisdom: leave more head space! That small bucket is no good for even the minimum brew size from the B40 Pro.

A very rough guess would put my losses at about half a litre due to this eruption, with the subsequently changed bottle also containing half a litre of chocolatey froth. I’m concerned that the ejection is actually made up of Krausen at its absolute peak, and that the remaining yeast may be under-utilised, take longer, and pick up off flavours from stress. We’ll see. That was 2 days ago and it’s still bubbling, with the Tilt Pro reporting just over 6% ABV.
